Notes
An average bugbear is about the size in terms of weight and reach as brown bear. Despite this, they have a cultural propensity to attacks from ambush so tend to be stealthier than might be expected. Although they have claws, they are not large or hard enough to count as formidable natural weapons.
Typical armour: 1pt of thick animal furs on chest and abdomen. APen -1
Cultural Background
Primitive, Nomadic or Barbarian.
Professions
Common professions are Champion, Hunter, Mercenary, Priest, Shaman, Warrior, Tracker, Witch.
Combat Styles
Prefer simple two-handed weapons though some bugbears use large one-handed weapons alongside shields. Morningstars and Maces are favoured in such cases. Javelins are favoured as missile weapons.
Magic
Likely to have 1-3pts of common magic. Only specialist magic users (Priests, Shamans and witches) tend to have access to Higher Magic.
