Opposed Roll Combat

Below are the Opposed Roll Combat rules which I developed, after Loz and I worked on the Player's Update. Some parts have had to be removed since they will be appearing in the forthcoming GM's Guide.

Its a major paradigm change from normal combat, but allows more cinematic and/or realistic combat. It also fixes a lot of the niggling flaws in the current system too. Maybe in the future Mongoose might include them in their core rules set, but in the meantime some people can enjoy them as house-rules.

I'd like to show some of the detractors on the Mongoose Forum that not only can Opposed Roll combat work, but that it also offers opportunities for innovation and flexibility. I'm sure it'll be critiqued to hell, but those who actually give it a go will find it fast, furious and fun!
