Tiefling

This write-up is a translation in RQII terms of the 4e vision of tieflings, which appears to be quite different to that presented in the d20SRD. 4e Tieflings appear to be iddy-biddy Hellboys while SRD versions are essentially humans with minor visual cues and a bent towards stabbing people in the back.

Traits

These are traits based on the 4e write-up. They are quite different to the SRD version as far as I can tell.

Night sight (RQ2), Fire resistance, Bloodhunt, Infernal Wrath

Fire resistance: creature only takes 1/2 normal damage from Fire (round up) whether magical or mundane.

Bloodhunt: Creature gets +10% to all attacks against any foe suffering a serious or major injury.

Infernal Wrath: Each time an enemy causes damage to you, you may immediately spend 1 Magic Point to channel your fury towards that enemy (this does not require a Combat Action). Until the end of the next Combat Round, you gain +5% to all attack rolls targeting that enemy and you do an extra 1 point of damage in each successful attack. If your POW+CHA is 30 or more, double these effects (+10% to hit and +2 damage.) This effect is very draining and cannot be used again until the creature has rested for at least 5 minutes.

Cultural background

Tieflings are most likely to be civilised or barbarian. Tieflings also have their own specific Cultural Background.

Notes

This is an experiment in rendering the Tiefling - a D&D 4e PC race in RQ terms. The idea is to try and preserve the flavour. See also the Eladrin, Half-Elf and Dragonborn. The translation attempts to preserve the flavour and also roughly attempts to stat the different D&D races relative to each other.
