Hit Points Rather Than Hit Locations
From MRQWiki
Hit Points, No Locations
Do not use hit points per location, simply used total hit points. These are SIZ+CON divided by 2. When a blow hits, and has not been dodged or fully parried, do not roll for hit location, simply roll damage, subtract armour and remove from total hit points. When you get to zero you are dead. If you take half or more of your total hit points in a single blow you have taken a major wound and are unconscious.
Some referees will say that at 1 or 2 hit points you are also unconscious, or that when you are at zero you lose 1 HP a combat turn until your hit points are as negative as your total hit points were positive, and until then you are not quite dead and can be healed.
For a more heroic game make hit points equal SIZ+CON.
